My little sis is getting married! :) I got together with her and her fiance waaaay back when and am JUST now blogging our little adventure. They had the most original idea for their save-the-dates, so we hit up an extra superfine (that’s a word, right?) junkyard for some fun. We spent most of our time doing crazy stunts and silly business (aren’t you curious?) and then had a couple minutes at the end for some portraits. Still working on the save-the-dates, so no sneak peek, BUT it’s going to be super cool, vintage & original!

Isn’t her hair fun? It’s always been bright red!

This bus says “UNITE” — we loved that! I usually don’t have clients face the sun in situations like this (ultra bright and painful, that sun!), BUT I like the vibe they’ve got going on.

Ahhhh…LOVE. :) We can’t WAIT for the big wedding in September in Los Angeles. It’s going to be a blast to celebrate their union and get together with family and friends that we haven’t seen in a long time. Plus, Peach is going to be a flower girl and Fella…you guessed it, the “Ring Burier.” <--that's what my kids call it. Hilarious! Oh....and my amazing pal Jen Fox is going to use her mad wedding skills and photograph the wedding. And because I probably won’t be able to put my camera down, I’ll be in there too, until my kiddos pull me onto the dance floor. ;)

Love you two…can’t wait!
Have a grrrrrreat day!

{a lovely wedding}

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Lovely, lovely bride and groom!  SO creative, in LOVE, and what fun at this amazing location!  I LOVE that they wanted images in a bus…near an old green truck…in front of a dumpster…next to a bunch of bright blue recycling bins.  They saw beyond “junk” and recognized the beauty.  I LOVE it when clients have that kind of trust in their photographer!!!

I am so happy I had the opportunity to second shoot this wedding with the uber-talented (and super sweet) Jeanette LeBlanc. We were a great team and the day went by really quickly!

Have a super day! I have some shoots during the week (due to spring break) so be on the lookout for some fresh faces. :) ~m

I had an awesome Friday afternoon with this super cool couple. They were TONS-o-fun: constantly laughing, loving, & smiling. I have so many fresh and fun images from this session, choosing which images to present in their gallery is going to take me FORever!!! :)

These two are both dancers, so stay tuned for some *hot* dancin’ pics…with toe and tap shoes. :)

K and D — you two are incredible & I’m so excited for the both of you for your October wedding!

Have a great weekend. ~m

She said she just wanted me to capture their love…

I think we did just that.  :)

Have a terrific day.    ~m

:::where it all began

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

On Saturday evening, I met with this super friendly, full-of-life couple.  I am a total sucker for a good love story and was fortunate enough to hear both sides (that’s always fun!).  Cute, cute ,cute!  :)

A & J met at the top of Camelback Mountain three years ago.  I *love* that they wanted to have part of their session there.  And ya know what?  Even though J loves to hike, they hadn’t been back there together.  I was honored to capture them reuniting with the mountain that long ago served as their meeting place.   But FIRST, we started out at a gorgeous historic residence in Scottsdale.

^ A little Camelback Mountain sun glow.  :)

And lastly…

Isn’t this fun?  :)

Lots and lots more!  Have a superb day!  ~m

More from this cute {love} session — vintage style!

I’m not used to shooting in full sun…we didn’t have much choice as far as time goes, so I learned a lot!  Even though the lighting isn’t even on their faces, it gives the image depth and excitement.  I love that I can see their sheer happiness.  :)

The amazing, gorgeous M.

{awwww}

Thanks, you two!  Miss ya already.  :)

Have a super day.  ~m

Had a mini session today with M & B.  My pals Jen, Jess and I all photographed these two, which was a great learning experience & an all-around great time.  Ahhh…the locations in Bellingham were just amazing.  The weather was too — I’m going to have to visit again soon.  :)

This couple was SO much fun and obviously completely adorable inside and out.

Thanks SO MUCH for workin’ it, you two!!!  More fun pics to come later!

Have a super day.  :)    ~m
