Hi Loyal Bloggity Readers! :)
Just to let you know, my grandma passed away Thursday evening surrounded by her family (yep, that’s us!). Services for her are in a couple days, so I’m helping family out in the meantime. I will be back in AZ shortly! Feel free to email with any questions!

{enjoying the sea lions}

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

This sea lion kept playing with Peach…back and forth, almost sniffing her toes through the glass, nose to her hands, eye to eye. She got a real kick out of it! :)

Have a super day! ~m

{a desert picnic} | Phoenix maternity photography

On Sunday eve, just before we left for Cali, I photographed the sweetest family. They are expecting another little princess in several weeks and wanted to capture mom’s belly AND the love they have for each other. This family LOVES to be outdoors and I thought it was especially fitting that they wanted to have a little picnic playing “Go Fish.” It was adorable!!!

The combination of the wind, setting sun, & love in the air was incredible.

Have a lovely day! ~m

:::Mini-update :::

I am still in Cali. Can’t wait to show you some images of our adventures! In between visits with my Grams, we went to the Long Beach Aquarium, bug hunted outside my aunt’s home, and had a nice time just enjoying each other. Today, visit with Grams again, the beach, and the neighborhood park with lots of cousins. Thank you for your kind words, phone calls, texts, etc. (& restaurant rec., Jill — we went to Los Alamitos and it was incredible). ~m

Ahhhh…fresh air, nice wide porch, rocking chair, light breeze, soothing music in the background… As this momma-to-be watched her family play in the grass, I just had fun capturing the moment!

I am off to Cali for a couple days. My Grandma is not doing well, so we wanted to make a quick trip to give her as many hugs and kisses as she can handle. I *hopefully* will be blogging pics from our trip (we’ll definitely be doing a beachy playtime!) and images from sessions that I happen to be editing.

Have a super day. ~m

I had an AWESOME time with these two cuties on Wednesday. We hunted in the grass, jumped, laughed, got wet and, of course, finished with some GINORMOUS lollipops. :)

I love how one image, in the series of two, shows a little spunk and the other a bit of serious. These two are hardly serious! :)

Have a super day. ~m

{a house full of love} | Arizona family photography

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

These three incredible siblings were SUPER fun and sweet to work with. We had an awesome session a couple weeks ago, near the Cali/Arizona border where their family has several farms in the area. The location they took me to was absolutely stunning!

Another very important part of this family is the other three kids that live under their roof — three foster children that were equally adorable and wonderful to work with. I sure wish I could post images of them, but to protect their privacy I just can’t!

After the session, the family of 8, plus the other family of 5 that was there (plus grandpa — yes, we did a double family session!) went home to relax and prepare dinner. I stood in the kitchen and just smiled as I watched the hustle and bustle of a household completely filled with love. Everyone helped, played, smiled, served each other. I really felt like I was part of something special — in fact, know I was!

Thank you sooo very much, D family, for allowing me to capture your amazingness!

Have a great one… ~m

I was SOOO fortunate, 13 years ago, to randomly be placed with this girlie as a college roommate.

SHE even introduced me to my future husband on my 21st birthday…how fun is that??? :)

H came to visit us from Colorado this weekend. We had *so* much fun playing with the kiddos (she completely spoils them rotten!), dining out, shopping, etc. I LOVE that she’s great friends with me AND my husband — we have so many awesome stories from the past and just have a great time together!

After a photo session on Sunday, I nabbed her away from my family at home and we did a session together! We had SOOO much fun and have so many gorgeous choices.

Have a super day — thanks so much for stopping by! ~m
