These are really beautiful! The light was just perfect! You can tell you are really comfortable with your model (sis) and that she trusts you as well. Nice work! Keep Shooting!

Oh Maggie! I’m drooling over all of the photos I’ve seen on this blog and in your portfolio. I love the moments you capture– I’m literally tearing up at some of them!
A great spot for desert photos would be up near Goldfield Ghost Town (just off the 60 & Idaho – right past the exit to my house). They have a website, but they have old mining equipment laying around, tons of cactus, and the superstition mountain is right in the background. It’s beautiful. You could also check out Saguaro Lake and Canyone Lake – both have dramatic cliffs dropping down into the water (Canyon Lake more so), lots of big cactus, etc….Canyon Lake is about 15 minutes past the Ghost Town.
I can’t wait to see the pics! I love seeing all your new stuff…
Under pixel dimension, I resize horizontal width to 500 pixels (it fills in the rest) and vertical width to 400 pixels. I hope that’s what you needed. I had to go look it up because I made an action.
That is beautiful. We’re going to take the girls this morning to see Santa. I hope Sophie is as amazed as Kate was!! I already know how Kylie is going to be…..Have fun on your trip!! Merry Christmas!
The highest my 5D will go…1600! I never shoot at night–I don’t even like to shoot higher than 100-200, so this was a big change for me. Happy Holidays, Jen!

THANK YOU so much Jen for your ever-so-positive comments. You’re so sweet & I truly appreciate your feedback. Let’s see…even though I had every intention of using a variety of lenses (I brought 4!), I just shot with my 24-70mm L (it’s fairly new). Happy New Year! This pic is a total crack up! I’m lovin’ your blog and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for ‘08! Keep up the good work sister.
Great photos of a cutie who looks like he already has personality — that you captured. What a variety of shots, very creative. I look at your blog all the time!
Maggie–more great pictures. Love ‘em. The look on J’s face, sitting next to P–he looks like he’s having a great time. K’s a singer like her Mom, too.
Wibbus–HI! I *love* seeing pics of your kids! They are absolutely beautiful. Excuse me–P is HANDSOME and the girls are BEAUTIFUL. Wonderful. I hope you and the fam are doing well.
Maggie- Your blog made me tear up. I feel just the same as you- you are a dear friend and I love how we can just pick up where we left off.
Cath- congrats and love to your beauty little L and thanks for your admiration. P is an artist too like mum so he probably won’t mind the “beautiful” word.
This is your best storyboard yet — each picture is composed beautifully, but the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Also, you are showing more aspects of her personality. J looks beautiful, but she also looks interesting.
Thanks for posting more pics, Maggie! Love them! My favorites are the one of him crying (not a “mean mom” thing, I swear–ha ha) and the one of him smiling. So so cute. And the one of me and L–that one feels so special to me. These pictures are going to be family treasures, Maggie. Thanks for sharing your incredible talent.
WOW!!! I love these pics of my beautiful niece!!! She really had fun doing the photo shoot Maggie. You have a natural talent and I hope many families are lucky enough to have you photograph thier memories. Julie
Maggie the blue scraf was such a good idea…the blue is fantastic. J’s face looks so cold from the wind but the pic would not have the same effect if it were not red. I think she looks so beautiful. Nice work!!! Thank You so much!!!
Barbara — I’m so happy you enjoy the pictures. That’s exactly what I’m doing this for. I think it’s great that you can be so far away, yet feel so close to your little L. He sure is a sweetie.
Cathy — I LOVE it that you and your hubs are so thrilled. Thanks again for all your encouragement.
I shot in TV mode (my first time–I’m used to manual!) because I wanted to be sure to catch all that action.
Here’s the recipe for the jump shot:
1/3200 f/9 ISO 200 f.length was 115mm
Very cool! The more pics I see of your sister the more I see her in you. =)
OK – so was anyone driving by while you were shooting these pics? I’d have to say if I saw a girl in the middle of winter in that getup in a feild of sheep I’d definitely wonder what the heck was going on!!!! I’m enjoying all of your pics so much….
Jill–you’re too funny. Actually, it was a PERFECT set up. We were a ways in from a major street (Dobson), so nobody saw us. I’m sure if someone did see what was going on they’d do a major doubletake though.
Jen–I HOPE I can keep thinking out of that box. That’s a huge struggle for me. You see the same stuff all the time in children’s portraiture, ya know? I’m looking for different! Let’s work on that!
I do like the 2nd one. I feel like the 1st is not complete (like you had said many of us tend to do). Yes, I’m drawn to her eyes in the 2nd, but I feel like I can still see everything else – her hands softly on the balls of her hat, her lips gently peirced together, her smooth perfect skin, her hair peeking out of the hat….all of that is still very visible to me.
M– That first picture is fantastic. I love, love, love, the sunlight! I also really like the last shot a lot. Poor little Peach.
Your pictures are very varied and interesting- certainly far from boring. I look forward to reading your blog and seeing what you have to share everyday! We’ve come a ways, haven’t we? From exchanging favorite pictures on email to now posting in a more public forum…. I think that’s great!
I agree with the first post–your pictures are far from boring–they are the opposite, Maggie. I could (and DO) look at your pictures every day, and I enjoy them each time–even when I’m looking at some for the second, third, or fourth time. And I love your comments. The comments you’ve posted on this set of images were amazing in themselves…the love for little K and how you share your story and feeling. It’s really special.
Good story M! Your neighbors sound like really nice people. I like the storyboard – esp. the 1st picture with the trademark J grin. And you know I’m all about the DOF sandwich.
Great shots that are certainly hard to come by in AZ (what with the fall colors).
I can attest to what Maggie is saying… Our photo shoot with her was so relaxed, calming, and thoroughly enjoyable. She is supportive and friendly, and she is an amazing mom who knows how to work with babies and children–AND parents. She was patient and thoughtful…the whole experience was a treat.
Thanks for more L pictures, Maggie! So precious to see his little body parts.
I fully appreciate the newborn shots of Little C as well! You’re so right, I used to cringe when I saw those VERY cracked/wrinkly feet on your home page (thankfully in black and white, at least) but now I am soooo glad to have them. You rock, girl!
I love the last picture – amazing! I too wish I had more pictures of my girls. I guess it’s not too late even though they aren’t babies anymore. I’ve been on a mission to catch Kylie’s breath in photo. Can’t explain it…may have to email you on this one! =)
Yes, we have a blast over here! Today was super cute with playdoh – wishing Maggie were here every day to take pics!
That legs under the table one is my absolute favorite too! I think I may have to steal that one for my website or logo or something. Wayyyyyy adorable!
Great idea Maggie! I’ll be anxious to see the pictures from this session! One more thing…that girl on this post looks way to awesome to be prego! It literally, almost looks like a ball!
Wow! I’m so excited about the entries I’ve received. Keep ‘em coming and I’ll let you know soon.
*Oh, and if you’re one of the few that did not send a picture with your information, please do so so I can get a little feel of your personal style. Thanks! ~m
Hmmm, I’d say the rhino’s 1st (I tend to like pics with people in them – cool moment w/ mom and sons), the flamingo 2nd (amazing color and it looks like you’re right there next to him!!), and 3rd is little J (he just looks perfect there with his cold red lips and cheeks and that cool beanie).

Both your kids are cute AND beautiful at the same time. Wow. Those pics of J and his hat are funny and sweet–love them. K is sooo beautiful. Love those pictures.
I like them all but really love the 2nd one! The colors are great and it’s so funky but romantic too. I like how the colors on the skirt pop, but her blouse, skin and hair all match the background. Very cool!
Yellow – it’s always been one of my favorites! It’s so happy, cheerful, bright, fresh, silly, it can’t help but put you in a good mood, reminds me of a fun summer day!
Maggie, I love your new logo!
Pink-It reminds me that I’m the mother of two gorgeous girls, sweet cotton candy, beautiful spring tulips, and did I already say my precious girls.
M~ Love the new logo…It’s very fresh.
My fav color is red mostly for what it stands for: LIFE. Boldness, LOVE & HEARTS for my little girl, blood to give us life, red for my pinot noir I love to drink!
I love my red toes as well….
Purple: “grape” just reminds me of childhood! Kinda’ like those “grape jelly” cubes they have at breakfast diners. When else do we actually eat too many grape things that aren’t, well…actually grapes!
Lllllllucky number SEVEN! The number of my all time favorite quarterback, on my all time favorite team, which wears the color orange. Done, done, and done.
I’m saying I like the red in your logo because it stands out at the top–like you, my friend! I’m glad you finally got your logo–so so fun! Excellent choice, and I think it represents you and your vision so well. Ben and I will be done with our album choices soon…it’s really to chose.
Pink is my favorite of course. Pink for my little Laney girl, so sweet and innocent. I’ve got to get that in somewhere for that little stinker!! Pink reminds me of my mom, because she looks so pretty in pink and because she’s a breast cancer survivor!
I think I passed the cutoff, but still wanted to comment.
Somehow I was number 8, not 7. Actually, it goes to show, always reload your browser in a internet sweepstakes involving a $15 giftcard contest when you want #7. Darn.
Maggie! The family told me about your blog so I decided to check it out. Your pictures are amazing! I had fun looking through all of them. “Peach” is so cute Miss you and Love ya!
MOL! So happy you stopped by. Lovies to you, too. Maybe I can take some pics of YOU this summer…think we’re heading out there in August. Photo shoot with your surf board maybe???
That looks just like the park I went to with my sister n law today, off southern………that’s funny i was just about to post my photos on my blog, although they are not nearly as awesome as yours! Beautiful photos.
You’re too funny, Jill! When I put the numbers in the hat last night, I put in 2-12 (because 1 and 2 were the same person). It was just easier that way. I like how you’re sticking up for my brother though!!!
Those are beautiful! Almost makes me want to be pregnant again (I said almost)!! I like the colored one – it tells a bit of a story with the pink outfit and all. Will we get to see more?!
I like the B/W fashion shoot the best. Your location was such a find — it’s got such interesting shapes and textures going on! And J looks like a model.
I love this little tribute to Skeet! We don’t get to see him all that much so that was very cool to learn new things about him! Will “burn” be next?? :p
My favorite is Sister leaning over the rail; she looks really sweet. Of course, the storyboard shows so much more.
At first I thought that chair was a strange color, but now I see how it stands out just enough in an outdoor setting. And fashionista mom chose just the right top for Sis?
LOVE THEM, Maggie! Oh my word, I just love them. I need to show this to Ben so he can get an idea about the coolness of it. Thank you SO much for doing a post on this–you are working like mad and I am so grateful for the time and creativity you put into this. Thank you SO SO MUCH!
AND…I got the album today–WHOO HOO! How absolutely fun to have. Thank you for THAT a million times too. I am a proud mama who goes pretty nuts on this stuff.
My fav’s are the 1st (gottal love that shadow) and the last – I like the treatment/color on this last one and of course that you can see both kids doing thier own things!
Jen…
Recipe: Amanda Keeys Color Pop + Totally Rad Blur & Vignette. Tweaked and tweaked and tweaked some more. Thanks for your comments, girl (and Amy and Julie)!
pregnancy favorites…
…eating as much as I wanted
…the way my husband looked at me–he loved me being pregnant!
…knowing that my son would be here soon…the little one I’d been waiting for for so so long.
I did see the pottery barn canvases and had been meaning to ask you if you saw the catalog. I thought the picture of the kid with his surfboard was fabulous. Really did a lot for his room.
The canvas looks great – makes me want to get one. Hmmm.. now I need to figure out if I can convince John that I need yet another humongous picture hanging on my wall.
It’s funny that I read this — I had drafted a post last night about what the walls in a photographer’s home might look like. I was going to upload pictures of my “photo wall”.
Great minds and all..
Fun post. I have always loved that picture of your kids.
– Srilu
Remember when we admitted to each other that we didn’t know if we could love a little boy as much as we already loved our amazing, darling little girl/granddaughter (Peach)?
Just goes to show you how things turn out: how you grow and change and how wrong you can be about what afterwards seems so obvious.
I can’t believe what a little man he’s grown into. So handsome and sweet! I love that first pic, with that genuine look of concern over his lost ball (what I’d give for that to be my biggest worry). =)
Bwah haaaa haaaa. Phil. You sound like mom (not just A mom ) editing what I wrote. Thanks for the laugh. I think you’re onto something with the Caillou Cariboo comparison.
Very cute pics of my little one. She looks just like my dad in those – totally Italian – with her dark features popping. Not very often that I get a pic of her and I….so thank you!
I just took the time to look through all of your Web site and blog again – they’re just terrific Maggie. Wonderful pictures and your commentary adds just the right touch – shows what a wonderful person you are.
I like these pictures of Libby and Mimi’s comment too! She’ll be seeing her soon.
Today I went to the Seattle Art Museum with my friend Susan Pearson, who is an accomplished photographer – even has her own dark room – but has recently given up the art, partly due to the new digital era. Anyway, I am sending your URL to her so that she can check out your work.
blog stalker award is back in my hands! these are fantastic! i adore the first shot, you made it all yours and you’re right! little one will need to be photographed with that amazing painting as she grows! kiddos m, you did it again!
I love the one with the baby on the table with the painting….that is so cool and shows just how small and innocent she is right now! Next thing her parents know – she’ll be standing on that table trying to see the picture better!
I really, really love these! LOVE the brother/sister one, and the last one is sooo cool too! They all are. Glenda, you are going to have some tough choices to make!!!
Wow – I really like the first one! So calming like you said, yet their bodies just pop out of the scenery! I also like the bro/sis one. I never realized how alike they look until seeing this shot. They look so comfy together……
Oooh, these are super cool! I love the first one, because it is such a different face than I am used to seeing, especially in your pictures. Another fantastically creative idea, of course!
What a great bday present. It looks like a backdrop with the clouds and mountains. LOVE it (of course!)

January 7th, 2008 at 10:41 am
What a great idea to use sheep in the background. Very fun concept and lovely sunlight! How great it is to have eager and GOOD models in the family.
January 7th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Totally fun pictures! Funny about “chilly tomatoes”–hee hee.
January 7th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
CATHY!!! I’ve sent you 2 emails this morning and they both say “message failed!” Thought you might check here?
January 7th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
my e-mail is fixed now. sorry I’m leaving this lame message on your site.
January 7th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
that last shot is priceless! nice work
tell me the recipe?
January 7th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
I shot in TV mode (my first time–I’m used to manual!) because I wanted to be sure to catch all that action.
Here’s the recipe for the jump shot:
1/3200 f/9 ISO 200 f.length was 115mm
January 8th, 2008 at 11:35 am
only in az! there’s no way we’d be doing that here in the pnw! you’re blowing me away! way to get out of the box.
January 8th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
January 8th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Thanks so much for the props, ladies!
January 9th, 2008 at 10:54 am
I do love the first image! I definitely agree on the cropping making a more dramatic statement in the image.
January 9th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
I’m really surprised that you didn’t catch K’s “landing” after the bump, but I know that the mommy in you took over from the photographer in you!
January 9th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
I can’t see the first picture, just a frame with a red x, and a lot of mumbojumbo.
January 9th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
I KNOW. Although it was tempting to take pictures of her spill, I was running over there to rescue my crying snow angel. It was quite a tumble!
January 9th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
VERY strange. It was working earlier. I just re-did it — can you see the top pic now?
January 9th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
I enjoy looking at your photos – you have such a creative take on the world!! I enjoy the 2nd picture because of her eyes
January 9th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
i can’t pick. since the first is what i saw first i was sucked in… and loved it… but then i saw her eyes… gorgeous. both are nessasary!
January 9th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Yay, I’m back to checking your blog… and you’re RIGHT I totally love the sheep pics!!!!! WOW! Looove the poses in the yellow suit! Hawt!
January 9th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Gotta have her eyes!
January 10th, 2008 at 7:24 am
Aren’t snow pictures so much fun? I only wish I had the chance to take more myself. Fun pictures M. Where’s J?
January 10th, 2008 at 10:34 am
Love, love that first shot! Sorry I missed you last night! Wasn’t home yet. Hope to catch up soon!
January 10th, 2008 at 11:42 am
I do like the 2nd one. I feel like the 1st is not complete (like you had said many of us tend to do). Yes, I’m drawn to her eyes in the 2nd, but I feel like I can still see everything else – her hands softly on the balls of her hat, her lips gently peirced together, her smooth perfect skin, her hair peeking out of the hat….all of that is still very visible to me.
Cool pics!
January 11th, 2008 at 6:31 am
M– That first picture is fantastic. I love, love, love, the sunlight! I also really like the last shot a lot. Poor little Peach.
Your pictures are very varied and interesting- certainly far from boring. I look forward to reading your blog and seeing what you have to share everyday!
We’ve come a ways, haven’t we? From exchanging favorite pictures on email to now posting in a more public forum…. I think that’s great!
January 11th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
I agree with the first post–your pictures are far from boring–they are the opposite, Maggie. I could (and DO) look at your pictures every day, and I enjoy them each time–even when I’m looking at some for the second, third, or fourth time. And I love your comments. The comments you’ve posted on this set of images were amazing in themselves…the love for little K and how you share your story and feeling. It’s really special.
January 12th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Good story M! Your neighbors sound like really nice people. I like the storyboard – esp. the 1st picture with the trademark J grin. And you know I’m all about the DOF sandwich.
Great shots that are certainly hard to come by in AZ (what with the fall colors).
January 12th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
I’ve been missing seeing pictures of little J boy! These are super cute!
January 12th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
BOY, that little man is cute. I love the pouting picture too.
January 12th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
Wow! What a cutie! Thanks to Grandpa, I got to see these pics of my great nephew. What a blessing. Thanks to everyone for sharing.
January 12th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
Boy, I’ve been out of the loop. Had no idea I could post a comment!! Love ALL the pics, of course. We’ve missed you guys!!!!
January 13th, 2008 at 9:59 am
I can attest to what Maggie is saying… Our photo shoot with her was so relaxed, calming, and thoroughly enjoyable. She is supportive and friendly, and she is an amazing mom who knows how to work with babies and children–AND parents. She was patient and thoughtful…the whole experience was a treat.
Thanks for more L pictures, Maggie! So precious to see his little body parts.
January 13th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
you are an all-star blogger! great post, can’t wait to see the scale in images. trev rolls his eyes every time i say, “i want to put a baby in that!”
January 13th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
I fully appreciate the newborn shots of Little C as well! You’re so right, I used to cringe when I saw those VERY cracked/wrinkly feet on your home page (thankfully in black and white, at least) but now I am soooo glad to have them. You rock, girl!
January 13th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
What an incredible collections of pictures to treasure forever. Cathy, you are so beautiful. Can’t wait to meet Linus!
Shannon
January 13th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
I absolutely love the first picture! I don’t have nearly as many body part pictures of my twins! Great eye Maggie!
January 13th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Ditto to the above comments. I LOVE the last picture!! What a moment to capture….cool and different.
January 13th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
I love the last picture – amazing! I too wish I had more pictures of my girls. I guess it’s not too late even though they aren’t babies anymore. I’ve been on a mission to catch Kylie’s breath in photo. Can’t explain it…may have to email you on this one! =)
January 13th, 2008 at 11:23 pm

These pictures are so cute, I love the one of the legs under the table!
Amy, it looks like you have a really great thing going on over there! What a great environment, the kids look like they really have fun.
January 16th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
How cool it would be to be little again – just for a day!! Great pics once again Maggie. I’m with Julie, the legs under the table are adorable!
January 16th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Yes, we have a blast over here! Today was super cute with playdoh – wishing Maggie were here every day to take pics!
That legs under the table one is my absolute favorite too! I think I may have to steal that one for my website or logo or something. Wayyyyyy adorable!
January 17th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Great idea Maggie! I’ll be anxious to see the pictures from this session! One more thing…that girl on this post looks way to awesome to be prego! It literally, almost looks like a ball!

January 26th, 2008 at 9:11 am
I loooove the first one. Definitely my favorite, the silhouette is awesome!
January 26th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
LOVE the texture… the pose the skirt. what textures are you using?
January 26th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
I LOVE the first one too!! ! What great images to give her hubby! What mountain is in the first picture?
January 26th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Jen-Nichole V. Not sure of the specific one — in the antique/vintage set though.
Glenda-I have noooo clue. It’s near you though.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Maggie, Great pictures and nice textures! I’d say the 2nd is my personal fav but then again I love textures! They are all really great.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
I agree with the others- love those eyelashes!
January 27th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Maggie — Love that first shot! I really like the macro — great addition to your arsenal.
–Srilu
January 27th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
I like them all but really love the 2nd one! The colors are great and it’s so funky but romantic too. I like how the colors on the skirt pop, but her blouse, skin and hair all match the background. Very cool!
January 27th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
the fact the you caught those little hands still! fab work, my dear.
January 28th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
I love the hat pictures. The colors are fantastic (not to mention the cute model!).
January 28th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
i love the first shot! this is the first time i’ve seen how much you kiddos look alike!
January 29th, 2008 at 7:55 am
Love that first one…looks like it’s from the 1800’s – with the colors, the coat, her red hair in pig-tails.
January 29th, 2008 at 9:05 am
i’m in love with texture. you created a gorgeous image. couldn’t you live with that on your wall for years!?
January 30th, 2008 at 5:55 am
What a “yummy” logo you have!
January 30th, 2008 at 5:57 am
My favorite color in the lollipop is pink. It is innocent and cheerful and reminds me my baby girl.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:27 am
Yellow – it’s always been one of my favorites! It’s so happy, cheerful, bright, fresh, silly, it can’t help but put you in a good mood, reminds me of a fun summer day!
January 30th, 2008 at 7:37 am
Maggie, I love your new logo!
Pink-It reminds me that I’m the mother of two gorgeous girls, sweet cotton candy, beautiful spring tulips, and did I already say my precious girls.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:46 am
M~ Love the new logo…It’s very fresh.
My fav color is red mostly for what it stands for: LIFE. Boldness, LOVE & HEARTS for my little girl, blood to give us life, red for my pinot noir I love to drink!
I love my red toes as well….
January 30th, 2008 at 9:33 am
orange! i just adore orange… it’s cheery and warm. the logo looks fantastic! love the header
January 30th, 2008 at 10:13 am
Congratulations on your logo!!!!!
Purple: “grape” just reminds me of childhood! Kinda’ like those “grape jelly” cubes they have at breakfast diners. When else do we actually eat too many grape things that aren’t, well…actually grapes!
January 30th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Lllllllucky number SEVEN! The number of my all time favorite quarterback, on my all time favorite team, which wears the color orange. Done, done, and done.
January 30th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
I’m saying I like the red in your logo because it stands out at the top–like you, my friend!
I’m glad you finally got your logo–so so fun! Excellent choice, and I think it represents you and your vision so well. Ben and I will be done with our album choices soon…it’s really to chose.
January 30th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Ooooh… love it!!!
I have to say 2 colors, and I love that they are next to each other — bright pink and orange! The colors of Cameron’s room!
January 30th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
I love your logo, congrats! My favorite is yellow because it reminds me of how beautiful my daughter looks in that color and made me smile!
January 30th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I love the hats, I bought some yesterday for Cassia and maybe we will have to have a photo shoot too! Beautiful pictures.
January 30th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
Why orange of course … for this earthy girl what could be more earthy?!
Surprise!
January 30th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
Love the logo!!
January 31st, 2008 at 9:55 am
rockin’ images! was it a high ss that caught little man so sharp?
January 31st, 2008 at 10:21 am
Somehow I was number 8, not 7. Actually, it goes to show, always reload your browser in a internet sweepstakes involving a $15 giftcard contest when you want #7. Darn.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:19 am
Maggie! The family told me about your blog so I decided to check it out. Your pictures are amazing! I had fun looking through all of them. “Peach” is so cute
Miss you and Love ya!
January 31st, 2008 at 12:56 pm
MOL! So happy you stopped by. Lovies to you, too. Maybe I can take some pics of YOU this summer…think we’re heading out there in August. Photo shoot with your surf board maybe???
January 31st, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Oh my gosh, I love that swing picture of J. COOL! And that close-up of him–soooo cute! What a sweet face.
January 31st, 2008 at 7:49 pm
That looks just like the park I went to with my sister n law today, off southern………that’s funny i was just about to post my photos on my blog, although they are not nearly as awesome as yours! Beautiful photos.
January 31st, 2008 at 8:50 pm
LOVE the swing pic!
January 31st, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Don’t even know Phil, but isn’t he #7 – since post 1 & 2 are by the same person…….sorry, just had to add that!! =)
January 31st, 2008 at 9:01 pm
You’re too funny, Jill!
When I put the numbers in the hat last night, I put in 2-12 (because 1 and 2 were the same person). It was just easier that way. I like how you’re sticking up for my brother though!!!
January 31st, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Wait a second! Jill is on to something here. I demand a RECOUNT! Where are we, Florida?
February 1st, 2008 at 6:28 am
I love these shots!!
February 1st, 2008 at 8:43 am
so worth the wait! gorgeous and fun! LOVE them.
February 1st, 2008 at 10:08 am
YES that looks very familiar …..glad to see it’s not been torn down!
February 1st, 2008 at 10:50 am
I love the contrast of the ultra-swirly girly girl and the rundown hard shiny spaces. Sort of like adding salt to a wedge of melon.
February 1st, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Pettiskirts here I come!!!!!
February 3rd, 2008 at 9:19 pm
Ooooh I LOVE that skirt!!! I love the pic where she is sitting down in front of the cactus, definitely my fave!
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:12 pm
i adore the rain boots with the frilliness! i also think your new watermark rocks!
February 4th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Wonderful colors, unique location and props. Great shoot!
February 4th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
She looks so calm. I like both poses: the first yoga-style and the second with the pink, lovely flower, almost in her hair, looks exotic.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Ab-so-lu-te-ly gorgeous! I really like the path your style is taking. Good job Maggie!
February 4th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Maggie- Since i passed the deadline, I figured I’d leave a comment on your logo here. I really like it! It’s perfect. Well worth the wait!
Nice maternity shots. Can’t wait to see the newborn pics.
February 5th, 2008 at 1:38 am
Ok, so you’re going to have to tell me where I can get some pettiskirts like that. It’s just too adorable! You do incredible work!
February 5th, 2008 at 8:01 am
Those are beautiful! Almost makes me want to be pregnant again (I said almost)!! I like the colored one – it tells a bit of a story with the pink outfit and all. Will we get to see more?!
February 5th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I love the color one! The blownout background is awesome!
February 5th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
I love the B/W one. And the one with the necklace, very classic & classy.
February 5th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Jill, I’d LOVE to take prego shots of you. Just tell me when!!!
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
February 5th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
I love the color one because you can see the pink sleeper, so sweet. These are all so good!
February 6th, 2008 at 10:49 am
I like the B/W fashion shoot the best. Your location was such a find — it’s got such interesting shapes and textures going on! And J looks like a model.
February 6th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
i vote b&w.
February 6th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
prego shot is my fav of the group. awesome image. totally gorgeous!
February 6th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
The fashion shot is my favorite! Lot’s of fantastic leading lines drawing one’s eye to the subject.
February 6th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Love your little jumping bean. It’s all about the skirt.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I just love #4 the cute baby, I may just need to hire you to catch some of my beautiful baby before she gets much older!
February 6th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
I like the fashion shot and the jumping bean in the crazy skirt the best!
February 7th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
I love this little tribute to Skeet! We don’t get to see him all that much so that was very cool to learn new things about him! Will “burn” be next?? :p
February 8th, 2008 at 6:27 am
Adorable! Photos and clothes and Peach!!
February 8th, 2008 at 8:46 am
i see commercial work in your future! love the polka dots!
February 8th, 2008 at 6:02 pm

Write me sister!
February 9th, 2008 at 7:37 am
OMG!!! So cute lil C!! I love the story board!
February 9th, 2008 at 8:01 am
She is so ADORABLE!!!!! I love the storyboard too!
February 9th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Raising my hand for the storyboard!
Great chair by the way!
February 9th, 2008 at 11:21 am
I really like the storyboard, great pics!
February 9th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I love the mood and directionality of the heart dress pictures. Love that one!
February 9th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
My favorite is Sister leaning over the rail; she looks really sweet. Of course, the storyboard shows so much more.
At first I thought that chair was a strange color, but now I see how it stands out just enough in an outdoor setting. And fashionista mom chose just the right top for Sis?
February 9th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
LOVE these! The chair was a great idea. Your creativity continues to amaze me!
Thank you so much!
February 10th, 2008 at 9:54 am
I really love the textured one! All of them look awesome, not that I’m biased or anything.
February 10th, 2008 at 9:54 am

February 17th, 2008 at 11:42 am
pregnancy favorites…
…eating as much as I wanted
…the way my husband looked at me–he loved me being pregnant!
…knowing that my son would be here soon…the little one I’d been waiting for for so so long.
February 17th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
When I was prego I loved:
Actually loving my body for the first time
The very first flutter of Greyson
And the wild kicks of Delaney
February 17th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

When I was pregnant I loved
-the way strangers would look at your belly and just smile- genuinely smile
-the kicks, definitely my favorite since I am such a worry wort I want to make sure everything is okay!
-being pampered!
February 17th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
I loved:
Seeing the stick turn pink was such fun
Feeling the kicks of both kids
(and stolen from Sherry) feeling comfortable with my body for the 1st time ever.
February 17th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Why didn’t you guys tell me there was a contest going on???
Boo hoo!
February 18th, 2008 at 6:58 am
Yeah!!! I never win anything!!
February 18th, 2008 at 10:50 am
love that last shot… holy cow gorgeous eye lashes!
February 19th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Remember when we admitted to each other that we didn’t know if we could love a little boy as much as we already loved our amazing, darling little girl/granddaughter (Peach)?
Just goes to show you how things turn out: how you grow and change and how wrong you can be about what afterwards seems so obvious.
February 19th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
LOVE! IT! I wish I could cap bigger!
February 20th, 2008 at 7:36 am

I can’t believe what a little man he’s grown into. So handsome and sweet! I love that first pic, with that genuine look of concern over his lost ball (what I’d give for that to be my biggest worry). =)
February 21st, 2008 at 12:56 pm
What gorgeous lashes! Beautiful close up…the details are often the nicest focal point. You do great capturing that.

February 22nd, 2008 at 1:40 am
I believe that is CaribOO not Caribou.
I know, mostly, because I’ve played that game roughly 328 times…
Maybe it’s the Caillou influence…
Now I feel like a Mom…
February 22nd, 2008 at 8:46 am
great work m! can’t wait to see more!
February 22nd, 2008 at 9:46 am
Bwah haaaa haaaa. Phil. You sound like mom (not just A mom ) editing what I wrote.
Thanks for the laugh. I think you’re onto something with the Caillou Cariboo comparison.
February 22nd, 2008 at 10:14 pm

I just took the time to look through all of your Web site and blog again – they’re just terrific Maggie. Wonderful pictures and your commentary adds just the right touch – shows what a wonderful person you are.
I like these pictures of Libby and Mimi’s comment too! She’ll be seeing her soon.
Today I went to the Seattle Art Museum with my friend Susan Pearson, who is an accomplished photographer – even has her own dark room – but has recently given up the art, partly due to the new digital era. Anyway, I am sending your URL to her so that she can check out your work.
Don’t stay up too late tonight!
February 27th, 2008 at 9:09 am

February 28th, 2008 at 8:42 am
Maggie – You are an amazing talent! Little W is beautiful, but through the eye of the camera you have created ART! Bellisimo!
